I recently upgraded to the ViP622 and was setup with the four LNB's getting me all four primary sats except for 61.5.
The CSR I spoke to said that I could get the 61.5 dish installed for free if I needed, but she didn't and wouldn't elaborate into what I would get if I had a 61.5 setup.
Thanks!
Without knowing what you subscribe to, cannot answer completely just make speculations. Try looking here:

What are the 4 primary sats you are receiving? If one of them is 148w, you would not get much more. The HD Demo channel is only at 61.5w. Also, the Sky Angel service is only at 61.5w. Are you sure you can actually see 61.5w from your location in San Jose?

I'm sure he can. I'm 70 miles west of San Jose as the crow flys and its a very strong 98 on the sig meter. The dish does look funny as hell, as if its pointed right at the ground.
And no INHUMANITY, you are not missing anything not having 61.5.

I think the future of Sky Angel may go dead in two years, since most of the stations our broadcasting in standard def. to be forced to broadcast in hd. A percentage of people our life-time Sky Angel subs. I am a life-time Sky Angel member, but if Sky Angel would lease two Transponders at the 119 west from Dish, there be something. Echo-3 will adventally go dead, and since Dish has 61.5 with Echo-12, then I geuss, Sky Angel would stay. Atleast Echo-12/rainbow sat. is capadible for mpeg-4. I call it g-4 sat. Echo-3 transponder 26 went dead and was brought back.

Exactly the point. There might be obstructions.

They are not being forced to broadcast in HD, just digital. Even if the channels do go HD, there is nothing to stop a downconverted version being presented.
EchoStar will have to replace EchoStar 3 or abandon many frequencies. They have indicated to the FCC that a replacement may be in the works. Sky Angel will continue if EchoStar plans to continue leasing those frequencies.

As others have said, we can't say for sure about your location. I can tell you that in my location, I was not able to get in satellite 129, which had the bulk of my HD programing. I called and requested a wing dish for 61.5, which I learned (here...thanks a bunch) is a mirror of 129 and broadcasts stronger than 129 does. Now i have 2 dishes and i get everything I'm supposed to!

Thanks for your help guys. I just wanted to double-check.
For the folks that were asking what I'm looking at; 110, 119, 129, and 148.
Just checked my switch and noticed I am only getting a 55~ on 129. So when it was raining really hard here on Friday and Saturday I did have some problems with reception.
I had to run a check-switch and reboot by DVR. I got my picture back, but as of now it's still in the low 50's.
