I noticed last night that when recording a channel that I am watching, I used to be able to hit STOP and the recording would stop and give me the option to save or delete. With 12a, this no longer works and when I hit stop, it acts as if I hit Prev Ch and switches to the last channel I was on and the recording continues, I have to go into the menu and delete it to stop the recording. I have reproduced this problem several times, and it acts the same every time. Can someone else try this so i know that i am not loosing my mind?

Just tried, the normal stop button behavior works for me right now. Your HR20 might be losing its mind, but I doubt you are. In other words, your HR20 might need an RBR before more issues crop up.

Just did a reboot yesterday and unplugged it for 1 minute. the problem continues.

Then I guess we need to gather more information:
TV and connection type
resolution
Remote control type and IR/RF
Date/Time/Channel of the recordings
What channels are in use in the background while you are watching the recording
your zip code
how many items are in your prioritizer list, todo, and history
amount of disk free
Approximately how many items in your playlist
any autorecords
do you have networking enabled
Dish type
multiswitch type and number
how many satellite inputs
OTA enabled

Sorry, this is the long laundry list of questions, but I'm already grasping at straws so the more information, the better.

Cheers,
Tom

I've never used the stop button during record, I use the record button to stop and get the three options, Continue, Stop&Keep, Stop&Delete.

It's changed with 12a: now when I hit record, it shows the time/progress bar; a second press of record brings up the options.

I mention this because it's reasonable to me that the two changes - stop and stop-by-record button - are prolly related.

Pressing stop during a record worked for me last night - provided the 3 standard options, cancel and continue recording, stop and save, stop and delete. I've never tried to press record while watching the program being recorded - would never think to do that.....

Just tried it, recording beach patrol on court tv (203) other tuner is on local mpeg wbal tv Baltimore (11).
I can hit record until the cows come home and nothing happens. I hit stop and it takes me to the other tuner (wbal):nono2: .

Yep, worked fine for me yesterday. Started watching a hockey game about 40 behind live. When we caught up I hit stop and was presented with the options and I deleted it (which also stops the recording). It has always worked this way for me.

Interesting, my R15 gives me the keep or delete options when pressing stop while recording. My HR20 has never done this. If stop is pressed while recording it just exist to live TV.
