I have a dish 500 and a dish 300 pointing at 148 degrees. I used 1 Multi switch and 4 SW-21 to feed 4 receivers. Last week I hooked up my outside antenna to the Switch and use the Diplex to separate the the SAT ann ANT to my TV. I received very bad signal from my antenna with no UHF channels. So for testing purpose, I hook up the antenna direct to my TV and signal is clear. Any one can what I did wrong here. Am I having a bad connection some where ??? Thanks

Hi danielvo and welcome to DBSTalk! :hi:

Do NOT connect the outdoor antenna to any of the switches. The outdoor antenna can only be used with the diplexor AFTER the switches and before the receiver. You will need one diplexor outside to combine the satellite and antenna signals and one diplexor inside to separate them back out. If you want an antenna signal running to each of your 4 receivers, you will need 2 diplexors for each line with a splitter at the outdoor antenna to feed all 4 outdoor diplexors.

A better alternative would be to run a separate line directly from the antenna instead of using diplexors. It would be cheaper and you would get a better quality signal from the outdoor antenna.

100% agree with Chris. Ideal solution is antenna cable to distribution, each to the TV. If you really have to use only 1 cable to each receiver/TV combination, then diplex the output of the distribution AFTER any Dish Switches (both diplexors on the same piece of coax, in between the Dish receiver and any switches).
