Liberty is buying the Atlanta Braves. I can't see Liberty agreeing to an exclusive deal with D*. Hope springs eternally that the exclusive deal will not happen.

Liberty doesn't own E*. They are in the process of acquiring D* through a stock exchange with News Corp.
Sorry to dash your hopes.

PM Earl or someone else, they can take care of it quickly.

The story:NEW YORK -- Time Warner Inc. finalized an agreement Monday to sell the Atlanta Braves to Liberty Media Corp. after more than a year of negotiations.
The deal, which values the team at $450 million, was submitted to Major League Baseball for its approval process, two people familiar with the deal said, speaking on condition of anonymity because no announcement had been made and publicly traded companies were involved.
. . .
Liberty currently has about 170 million shares of Time Warner, which is equivalent to a stake of about 4 percent of the media company, whose holdings include Time Warner Cable, HBO, AOL, CNN, Warner Bros. and Time Inc. The deal would reduce the size of Liberty's stake in Time Warner to about 2.6 percent.
Time Warner acquired the Braves when it bought Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting Systems from Ted Turner in the mid-1990s.

I see that has been done. I am very sorry to plant the seed of hope so erroneously!:(
The Atlanta Braves: from "America's Team" to 'Directv's Team' - what a freakin' comedown!

I wonder if this gives them more 'power' at the table for keeping the MLB contract exclusive. I wonder what that contract is worth to them.
It would be fun to do a little pole on the board and find out how many people are D* because of that package.

I don't think it would come close to NFL-ST. Probably stating the obvious.
