Was recording "24" last pm onto 622 from HD locals and when watching later last pm the audio was full of crackles and barely audible dialogue. Went to Live TV and found this was happening on EVERY single HD channel including the VOOM channels but wasn't happening on SD channels. Did a Front Panel reset and didn't do a thing to help. So it was on recorded HD channels and all HD channels in Live TV mode but not SD channels. Never had had this before so called DISH.

Guy on phone initially said no audio problems system wide but then reversed himself and said Audio problems since 2/10/07 were being reported but he couldn't give any details on this or when it would be fixed. I then went to another room where I have a 211 receiver and its HD channels audio seemed fine.

So in summary- it was audio crackles/static and jumbled dialogue on ONLY the 622 and ONLY on HD channels and not SD channels. Anyone else experience this? Will see tonight if it is still there or not.

What were you listening to audio through? HDMI? RCA? Optical?

I watched 24 last night on my 622 via HDMI for video only, and Optical for my Audio and had no issues.

No issues on either of my 622s.

HDMI and Component for Video

Optical Audio to Denon AV receiver.

It was wierd in that the audio was screwed up for ONLY the High Def channels and it was Locals, HBO, VOOM, ESPN, etc but didn't occur on SD channels like History, MSNBC, etc. Never had this problem before and hopefully will be gone when I try it out tonight.

Very strange, sounds like something maybe got screwed up on your 622. If this happens again instead of doing a front panel reboot try pulling the power on the 622, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. This does a more comprehensive reset than a front panel and maybe it will fix whatever is causing this. Also, maybe reset your AVR?
