I've looked for this info on this site and others but I can't seem to pin down an answer. I have the "Mega March Madness" subscription. This year, I will be out of town during the first and 2nd round games when this package is useful (I'll actually be at the games in NC). My question is, can I take my access card or even an entire receiver to someone else's house so I'll be able to use the subscription on Friday and Sunday when I'm not at the games? My dad already has DirecTV, and that's where I'm staying. I'm not trying to steal anything or give something away to someone else. I'll be using the subscription myself, just somewhere else. When we're at the games, nobody will be at the house watching it. If I can't do this then I guess I'll just have to cancel the sub for this year since I don't want to pay for something I'm not using.

Technically it will work....take the entire unit.

Taking just the access card will not work, but taking the whole receiver should.

Thanks for the answers. That's kind of what I was figuring would be the case. I thought about calling DirecTV, but I assumed I would get a straight answer more easily here.

Don't you need the phone line to get sports subscriptions?
