With the change to early March (3 weeks early) this year has D* updated all the receivers to change the clock on the right day?
March 11 is just around the corner & while my HR20 gets regular updates what about the other receivers?

Your HR20 will not have any issues. Older DirecTV/Tivo DVRs are currently receiving updates.

Remember the day when all of the DirecTV branded receivers reset. I think that may have been a daylight savings time update. But yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I wish the government would stop playing around with DST
 They should have other issues to keep them busy

Where did you hear that older dtivos are receiving updates?

It really seems to me that they can control all time (including timezones and dst) from the satellite. You'll notice that all receivers for timezone/dst have an option to set them from the satellite. I've heard that this information is stored on your access card. So hopefully they can just blast down an update to the card and not have to release an actual software upgrade.

I can't imagine that they're going to patch every receiver out there to comply with this. There are a million different receivers.

------EDIT-----------
I stand corrected. This thread discusses 6.2a:

The time is sent via the sat. signal.

Yes the time is sent via sat signal, but it's still unclear if they'll be able to modify the timezone/dst offset via the satellite.

I really hope they can and a patch isn't necessary, but because of the fact that 6.2a is already in the data stream, it looking more like a patch will be required.
