Has anyone here lost their EPG data from the OTA Digital locals (HD). Mine disappeared last Thursday from my 811 reciver Guide. I posted the CS response from last night on the 811 page today. I noticed the Dish Sat. Channels now have something about Tribune Media on all of them. I have the P3.65 software and subscribe to Dish Locals. Has anyone else have this problem and does anyone else who has this problem have it resolved and thsir OTA EPG guide data back?

I have similar problem. My EPG data for my local OTA Fox Digital channel has never posted since I subscribed to locals last Oct. All the other 3 majors posted Digial chan EPG data as they should. I emailed Dish quality about the problem, but have never received a reply. I have vip622 with Everything/HD Plat subscribtion.

Today a made a rant call to an E* CSR about the removal of the EPG data and after I told him what idiotic market decision ths was and that if D* had EPG data for the OTA cahnnels I would leave Dish and go to D* he said wait a minute and fliped acouple of pages and said a new software release, P3.86 for the 811 at least, was due in a week or two and it would correct the EPG display error(software glitch in the CSR's words). He also commented that this release has come out faster than any other he knew about. I said probably because of all the calls about the EPG display issue and he agreed. So I'm still with E* and waiting for the correction.

The CSR is FOS. DISH pulled the 14xxx and 15xxx channels in some markets that allow the receivers to have listings for them in their EPG. Until DISH adds the channels back you won't get EPG listing for some OTA stations.

Perhaps it is a piece in the puzzle of WHY the 14xxx/15xxx channels were pulled ... Although I doubt a regular CSR would have that information.

I'm not sure wheather the CSR was FOS or not but what are 14xxx and 15xxx channels you, Bill R or James Long, are referring to. I was thinking also the the CSR may have given me a line too. He was not in Support but in Billing and Programming as I remember. Only time will really tell. We will know for sure after a couple of weeks.

The 14xxx and 15xxx channels were a group of hidden "channels" that provided EPG for OTA digital channels and subchannels across the country. E* added them in large batches and then unexpectedly removed them. The rumor is that there was a problem with some receivers. When that problem is solved and E* returns the 14xxx and 15xxx channels (or finds another way of providing EPG) the OTA EPG will return for people who subscribe to locals.

They may or may not return on the 811 for people who don't subscribe to locals. E* does not provide locals EPGs on their other receivers without locals subscription.

James I have a local subscription for my DMA but I have to get the HD programming on my subscribed locals over antenna as they arn't and will not be on the Dish line up for quite a while. That's why I'm so vocal about this. They are basically telling me I can't get my subscribed local HD channels OTA with EPG guide. Until my local HD programming is in the dish lineup I'll stay with my 811 which I purchased over a year ago.

I also watch the HD locals in the adjacent/overlap DMA to my west as all the weather comes from that way.

Thanks for clueing me in on the EPG channels.

I upgraded from a 921 to a 622 about 2 weeks ago.

The 921 got the OTA guide for 2-01(HD), 2-02(SD), 7-01(HD), 7-02(SD) and 13-01(SD) but not 11-01(HD).

The 622 does not get 2-02 or 7-01, but the weird part is that 11-01(HD) has the guide info for channel 2.

In other words, CBS has the guide for NBC!

Rescanning the locals, rebooting and check switch do not affect it.

I'm surprised you getting an EPG listing at all. I was under the assumption this is affecting all recievers that have an antenna attached to them since dish removed the hidden channels mentioned above. The last software update for my reciever (P3.65) was what did in the EPG for my OTA channels.

Subchannel data is what was recently removed... Folks *should* still be getting data for their ".1" OTA mapped from the satellite locals if they subscribe to them... Also, I believe some markets still are getting subchannel data as I don't think Dish removed all the data... just the stuff from this year was removed I believe.
