Cinemax in HD!!!

Got a great phone call from a D* represenative yesterday.

He saw that I get Showtime and HBO and wanted to offer me a deal on adding Cinemax. I told him I wasn't interested in Cinemax but would consider it if and when it's added in HD.

He then told me that they do in fact have Cinemax in HD. I told him, no you don't, just Sho and HBO. He then said to hold on a minute and he'd check with his supervisor. He came back on the phone ten seconds later and said every premium channel is in HD as long as you have HD service! :nono:

So every premium channel is in HD? Does this include ALL of the HBO channels? ALL Showtime?

I doubt this right now, but it could happen once the Ka sats are launched and put into service.

Well he said "CURRENTLY" and "EVERY PREMIUM CHANNEL IS IN HD, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE HD EQUIPMENT AND SERVICE." :hurah:

You sure this was D* and not your local cable company?

In any case, it is wrong. D* has only Showtime and HBO in HD. No Cinemax, no Starz!, no Encore.

I had the same call about 6 months ago, the lady said do you want Stars and I said sure if it where in HD. She said it was and I asked what channel? She said hold on and I waited,and waited and waited. I hung up.

3rd party probably. They will say anything to get a commitment because they work on commission.
