Hi guys, this is my first post and I am kind of new to this so be gentle, I will give all of the info I can think of. I am trying to install a dishpro 500 with a 301 receiver I have it direct connected to try to get a signal from the satellite when i first installed it I did get a signal at around 80, but since have lost signal and cannot get it back, here is the message that I get on the screen:
LHB status: Direct connect to a DP-twin
DP twin-1 good connection, No Signal
Install summary:
Installed switch DP-Twin
Input 1 2
Satellite conn conn
polarity x x
Device Twin Twin
Status Problem detected, check connections
I have checked all the connections and the seem fine
now everything is the same but in the status part it says Satellite reception verified, but still no signal
what am I doing wrong, or what can I attempt to check next
Hope this is in the right forum, as I said this is my first post, thanks in advance, also I do have my elevation and skew set, I am trying to point my dish by looking at my neighbors dishes and it seems to be in that general direction, thanks

Unplug your rcvr for about 20 seconds, then plug it back in and run the check switch again. If you still don't get both satellites in the summary, go outside and make sure that the mast that the dish is mounted on is level. It has to be exactly level. If not, having your elevation and skew at the correct settings means nothing. After you checked that, rerun your check switch. If that doesn't work, you may want to look at trying a new LNB. You didn't say if the equipment your are using is new or used. Either a problem with the LNB is preventing a lock onto 119W/110W or your pointing of the dish is off. Either one will cause the 'conn' you are seeing in the summary. Basically the rcvr saying it is connected to a DP Twin LNB but is not receiving or locked onto the signal. :icon_cool

It must be the pointing if the dish all of the equipment is brand new and the mast is exactly plumb, maybe a satellite finder will help me, thanks
