I bought 2 HR20's off of someone on Ebay in order to establish service with DirectTv. I have called and verified that they are not on anyone's account and are in fact brand new cards. When I first called D* the sales rep said that the installer would be able to install the Hr20's at the same time. Well, the installer arrived yesterday and said no he couldn't because they were not on his work order. I called installation support and they said that it would require a separate trip for him to install these HR20's ( I had orginally ordered an HD receiver so I could have the HD satellite dish). I have gone around and around with D* on getting them to install these at the same time they install the other service. Does anyone have any ideas on who I can talk to so I can establish service and have all of the equipment installed at once? This is really frustrating.

When is your install date?
Define install. I mean if the cable runs are already in place then you should be able to call yourself and get them activated.
Now if you do need cables run that could be a diferent story.
Did you try setting up a second and seprate install just for those two. Although seeing how some of these things go you want to be careful with that idea. Your original install may then get cancelled.

Yeah I am not sure how this one would work. For a install he needs boxes out of his on inventory to close out the install and the job.
Like HDTVsportsfan said if they just need to be activated you can do that yourself.
You might try arranging an install through whomever you obtained the receivers from.
There's a couple of things you need to be aware of:
1. These receivers will probably go on your account as leased.
2. If you don't activate them within 30 days, either you or the eBay seller will be dinged a substantial sum of money.
