Alright, I have searched here and everywhere for an answer without any luck. I just had my HR20 installed on Monday. My question: Does anyone out there know of a remote control code for the remote that will control the "tv input" button and operate that function on a Vizio tv?

On a side note, since Monday, i did a reformat of the HD because of some threads i read saying it is something good to do. I did that mainly because i was noticing sound drops every once and a while for a few seconds at a time. Well yesterday the thing would not turn on. I assume it was in the sleep mode. The record button was lit up orange. I ended up dong a rbr and all seems good now.

Good thing i have my regular tivo on standby as a backup in the bed room.

With the sound problem that you describe I don't really think a full system format would have any effect. It could have just been a signal issue that was causing the sound drop outs.

Can't really help you with your remote question, but I'm sure someone here will be able to give you some answers.

Welcome to DBSTalk btw :)

From Remote Controls manual for RC32. It you have a RC34, try these codes anyway.
Vizio 10864, 10885, 11756

The code for the input button is the same for all TV's. 960

Once the power and volume are programed put the slider on tv.
Press and hold select and mute.
LED flashes twice over tv, enter 960.
Move slider back to D* try button.

Some sets that change input every time you push the button work fine.
The ones that put a menu to choose from on the screen don't usually work. You get the menu but can't select anything. I did a Vizio 50" plasma a week ago, nice picture don't recall how the input worked though.
