no ST local, only hd shows up

I've paid for ST local channels but they are not showing up on my guide, only HD locals are there. Also, I am suppose to get HD local with this receiver but I cannot seems to find it. Should I use DTV HD local or my OTA? Can both be available?

If you are getting HD locals you should also be getting SD locals unless you need a separate dish for them and the installer didn't do the install right.

If you have an OTA antenna connected and have a good local signal, you should also get your local stations that way.

All of the SD and HD entries for a station will show up in the guide next to each other. For example, I get the Seattle locals, and here is what the entries for one of the stations looks like:

5 KING = MPEG4 HD satellite feed
5 SE5 = MPEG2 SD satellite feed
5-1 KINGDT = OTA HD signal for primary channel
5-2 KINGDT2 = OTA SD signal for OTA subchannel

That's is exactly what I expect but I am not getting them.

What I expect assuming I am getting NBC which is channel 2 in my area:
2 = MPEG4 HD satellite feed
2 = MPEG2 SD satellite feed
2.1 OTA
2.2 OTA
2.3 OTA

All I am getting is OTA channels, non of the Satellite feed came through.

Check the test channels (490, 491, 492, 493, and 494) and let us know what message you see on your TV.

It might be a mis-aimed satellite dish, or something as simple as "reauthorizing" your DVR to receive these channels. You can reauthorize your DVR yourself from DirecTV's web site, or call them.
