Iam planning to buy a 32 inch HP LCD television in the near future.

My question is how will the reception be with Standard definition programming from Directv? (I dont have direction for 110/119)

Thanks

Do what I did when I was getting ready to buy an HDTV. I found a local retailer who used DirecTV to feed the demo sets in the showroom. Then I had them change signal sources to various different HD and SD channels, including locals, while I did side by side comparisons of the TV's I was considering.

I would think on a 32 inch you will probably be okay. I've got a 32 inch RCA CRT TV, and SD from DirecTV looks fine on it.

What carl6 says. It's really a tough call. Depends on the TV and on the physical connection. My 42" LCD (non-HD) Plasma does a better job at SD than my 27" Magnavox CRT. Both via composite. Every setup will be different and you may need to tweek them.
