Guide Question

Is there any way that when you hit the guide button on the remote it will take you straight to the guide. I hate the fact I have to select what type of view I want in the guide before it displays.

Hi :welcome_s Now that that is out of the way. please use the search to see if topic is already posted button.

Unfortunatly right now there is no work around but you will find yourself use to hitting the guide button twice. Once for me I was able to get the ghuide up and go to a channel. After that i hit Back instead of guide and it brouhgt right to the guide. I don't know if this is because i didn't go to any other channel before hitting back though.

Mrpalmer is correct - I played around with this last night. If you go into the guide, and then select a show, then hit the back button you go right back to the guide. I was even able to do this if I changed channels. I hit guide twice. Went to a show. Changed channels several times. Hit 'back' which took me right to the guide. Changed channels again (selected a different one from the guide). Hit 'back' again - and again it took me right back to the guide.

It looks like the 'back' button refers to the screen you're on. For example, if hit the 'list' button while watching a show, I'll get to MyPlaylist. Then if I hit 'exit' to get out of my playlist, followed by the 'back' button, I'll now go back to MyPlaylist. It appears to work like the back button on your internet browser - taking you back to the last functional screen (guide, play list, et. al.). And you can hit 'back' multiple times. If I do the following:

- guide (2 x)
- select a show to watch
- 'back' (this takes me back to the guide)
- 'back' again - now I'm back to watching the show
- 'back' a third time and it beeps at me, telling me I made an invalid selection (can't go back from there).

The HR20 is now getting One-Click Guide support. I'm hoping this finds a way to roll down to the R15 as I have two of them in the house and an HR20 on the way (to replace the HR10). I'm tired of this ridiculous Guide functionality.
