View Full Version : 0xBE Worked for me!!!
Well, I came home and sat down and figured I'd punish myself for a bit. I tried playing Heros which should have recorded last night. It played! WTF?! So, I tried to play the 10-o'clock news. It played! In fact, I tried playing everything that has recorded since I nearly threw the receiver into my front yard. Everything played.
Sure, my recordings play, but will TrickPlay work? Unfortunately, it does. :hurah: I guess I'm going to have to spend some time on my kids PC and see how many times they've punched the monkey lately if I want some punishment.
I just hope it lasts ...

I am curious if you actually have 0xBE, unless your receiver has been sitting unplugged from the wall for quite some time. the latest national release is 0x12a, which is working well for many if not most people. Your system may report 0xBE as the original software version, but I doubt that it is the current version.
Glad your system is behaving itself now, though!
Said in my best Ed McMann voice, "You are correct sir!" I was so excited to see things working I glazed over the screen. 0xbe was actually listed as the "original ver" and not what I "saw": ver ...
Sorry! God I hope it lasts. I really, really want to do other things. When I sit down to watch TV I want to watch TV. I don't want to troubleshoot TV. :)
Just shoot me now ...

Good. Glad you got that sorted out. FWIW, things continue to improve with each new cutting edge release (See: http://www.dbstalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118 ). The next national release should be even better! Hang in there.
