I ordered a 942 on the day it became available. While I had it, I have Qwest, followed by Vonage and finally SunRocket and never had problems with dialing out.

This week, I upgraded to the 622 and I now have the following behavior.
1) In the diagnostics check, I can select "Connection" and get back "Phone Connection OK"
2) When I select "Dial Out" I get "Dial Out FAILURE Check Phone Connection. If i listen in on a regular phone, I can hear the dish side connect, so I do know it is successfully dialing and Dish is answering.
3) When I go to DishHome, i can go into customer support and successfully view my statement (which I belive uses teh phone line)

Does anyone have an suggestions on where the problem may be? Is it just an issue of "that's the way it is with VoIP?" I've tried to find answers in other threads, but had no luck. I'm getting frustrated as I want to watch Saw III. :)

I believe it's a known software issue, Pt. There exist some unexplained random dial-out connection and caller ID issues with some 622's. I have a regular land-line, and sometimes get the same error message on the 622, even though, I've listened to the connection being completed on an extension.

Other times, I have received the "connect your phone line," EM randomly, and with no apparent reason. Nothing had changed with the connection. I clear it, and don't see it until the next time it randomly pops up. This only occurs on 1 of the 622's, and both are connected the same...same line, same type of wireless jack. This event seems to coincide with switching between dual-mode and single-mode. The 622 it has never happened on, is always in single-mode only.

I have 2 622's and 2 211's. All connected via wireless jacks. I've never had an audit, and have never been questioned by DISH.

You are correct, DishHome uses the phone line to connect.

Well, after countless attempts, the connection finally went through, so I can now order PPV's again. BTW: I read about *99 and/or *99#. If I pick up my receiver and put that in, I get fast busy, so I'm not sure what that code is suposed to do, but it didn't work for me.
