Dang it. My mom knocked out the little plug that goes into the box that power the power inserter. Again.

I've secured it now with some filiment line, so I'm hoping it stays in. But, without that power inserter in, no dish.

Anyone got any better ideas? This is powering a SW64.

Duct tape. :D

But Seriously - is it possible to move the power inserter to a "safer" location ?

A new power inserter costs about 35 bucks

Groannnn!

Let me guess - Dear Old Mom does it while vacuuming!?

Yarans ago in another galaxy, the roommate would repeatedly run the vac over a short length of thin 'Rabbit' wire laying across a closet doorway, ripping out an even longer length, usually about 6'-10'. Then, adding insult to injury, I would have to remove the sadly shredded length(s) of wire from the vac's roller.

Endless reminders, warnings and dire threats were to no avail.

Bless the day I went wireless with some of my feeds. :D

Go to your local home improvment store and pick up a device that clips on the plug and has a tab that gets attached to the screw that holds the faceplate on the outlet. I got one for less that a buck.

Nick, your sense of humor on this forum is absolutely priceless!  I have you pegged as being Kevin Spacey's stand in when the rumors of a sequel to K-Pax are tossed around with wreckless abandon in a studio conference room.  Can you act as well as you write?
