I've opted for the $20 a month payment plan for Sunday Ticket since it seems to cost us less money in the long run and I absolutely have to have it. However, I'm pretty sure this doesn't include Superfan even though I subscribed to it last year.

I've heard many people say they've gotten SF for half off the second year or for free even. I'm wondering if there is any rule to getting a discount (second year is always half price) or if that was just accomplished by playing CSR roulette. Does anyone know if it's possible to get SF spread out like the regular ST payments?

As always, thanks in advance!!

What they did last year was they gave Superfan at the same price as people got it 2 years ago (the first year). Most people were able to call in and get it at half price 2 years ago thus this carried over to last year.

Other then that DirecTV seemed to be willing to cut deals on it for those that called in even if they didn't have it 2 years ago.

Pricing for this year isn't up yet. Hopefully it will be a lot less because some of the features appear to be rolled into the base Sunday Ticket package and there is the new HD Access fee. If it's $49 or less I'll be happy with that.

They had a promo on D*s web site about a month ago that SuperFan was free with a Sunday Ticket purchase. I took them up on it. I have never had either before so I am looking forward to it.

Let's hope that's the case. I've been getting it for $49, but $99 would be kind of pricey. If they would offer it for a reasonable price, a lot more people would probably take it. Even if the HD games are rolled into the "HD access" fee, it would be worth it to me to pay $49 just for the shortcuts.

So if I'm reading correctly, Sunday Ticket pricing will include an HD access fee so you will no longer need SuperFan to see Sunday Ticket games in HD. Is that right? Thx

According to D* - you will still need Superfan for the HD games. But no price other than the early renewal and early bird for the ST itself. $249 or 5 pay of $49.80

Most people I know, including me, got SuperFan for free last year. I just asked for it but apparently, they'll gladly throw it in for free if you threaten to cancel Sunday Ticket.
