Series Record Issue [Archive]

Hi...
I just started using my HR20 after being a faithful lover of my HDTivo. There seems to be an issue with setting up a "season pass" for a show. I search for the series I want to record, choose "Rec. series" then "First Run" as episode type, etc. Then I go to the "to do list" and only the 1st episode is scheduled to record. For instance, the show airs first on March 12th and there is another new episode on March 19th but that episode does not have the "R" by it to show that it will be recorded. Anyone know what is going on here???

Give it time. It takes time to update all the recordings for a series link. They should show up in a day or so. With TiVo, it did it immediately, that's why there is long pauses sometimes, but with the HR20, it does it later on, that's why it's faster in some areas.

You will also notice the Rrr repeating in the guide when it is set for a series recording instead of the single R. If it is a single R, then it is not a series recording. The Rrr will not show if it is a repeat either. Sometimes it is difficult to see if it is a repeat and it may require highlighting the show, hit info, then more to get to see the Reapeat flag.

I checked the recording again today and noticed it was now scheduled to record. I guess we just need to "trust" these new DVR's will work,haha.

Another thing I noticed is the search is weird. For instance, I did a search for that new show Raines today and the only thing it found was for the channels 82 and 83. It is not showing the showings of my local channel. When I manually go to March 15th on the guide, it's there and I was able to record it. Anyone know why it would be not showing up in the Search function?
