When I called to order superfan yesterday. I had to refer the CSR to D*s own website as the 4 pay option wasnt on his system. Come to think of it I had to inform him it was alright to sell me EI too.

It could be that the 4 pay option is an internet only special.

Thats what I had thought to but he came back and said after checking with his supervisor that is was available he just had to find the code to use. He thanked me for letting him know there was a 4 pay option as well.

Can you order MLB EI! on the website? I tried to check this but couldn't find a link. I went to change my programmning but it was not there (the other sports were).

The website has the early bird price valid through the first week of the season, which is usually through the free preview, so I may wait until then anyway. But, I do prefer to do thing on-line and not have to talk to CSRs.

I called the 1-800-getsports, and didn't have to talk to a CSR. It was automated.

May I ask you guys, how are you recording your sport subscription games with HR20(if you need to)?

For me that is the only way to watch my games. Recordings of 4 hours of the events. But none work, it is always a black screen. I canceled the autorenewal of MLB just because it does not worth to pay for something that I cannot use. I wonder if there is something that I missed and there is a way to record the games that I do not know.

I was saying in another thread that there doesn't seem to be a SeriesLink way to do it b/c it could be on a variety of channels. But each night, you can see what channel it's on and set to record. Is that your question?

Thanks for the reply.

To avoid any conflict with the afternoon programs I need to do schedule manual recordings of blocks of 4 hours of games (I have NBA League pass).

The issue is that this functionality does not work on HR20. When you do that all you get is a black screen. I try to understand what are other people's habits regarding recording of the sport subscriptions with HR20.

Thanks,
Alex

i ordered EI from the channel guide and it totally got screwed up.
the 69.00 charge is for the NCAA Mega March Madness deal.
when i went online to check my account, it said i had ordered the NCAA package.
i had to call CS and get that cancelled and have them place the order for MLB EI
which I thought I had ordered throught the remote.
i told the CS that something is messed up with the remote ordering.
i would recomend ordering online or calling the 800 number.

You can order EI and the Superfan add-on via the web site. I added the SF add-on this morning via DirecTV's site.

I have heard of this problem before....Can somebody confirm this?

To be more clear, can you schedule a manual recording with the HR20 for a sports package event? I'm thinking of making the HD-DVR jump for this baseball season but can only do it if I can do manual recordings of 4 hours blocks rather than the full 6 hours the guide requires (for various reasons...)

so, i just ordered superfan, but what worries me is what's listed for the season on HD Sports guide:

http://www.hdsportsguide.com/mlb.php

this is hopefully incomplete, right?

That list does look incomplete (mostly Red Sox and Cubs) but I do believe that it was stated you'd only get about 10 games per week in HD via the EI Super Fan.

definately incomplete. For instance I know that FSN-MW hasn't announced what Cards games they are showing. It appears that list is just the national games with ESPN, ESPN2 and FOX plus local stations like WGN and Chicago Sports Net in Chicago...I don't think it contains any of the Fox RSN's....
