Mlb Extra Innings Without Phone Line???

I Am Seriously Looking Into Getting Mlb Extra Innings, But I Do Not Have A Phone Line Connected To My Dvr. I Do Not Have A Landline And Use Vonage And My Dvr Does Not Work Well With It. If I Order Mlb Extra Innnings Will I Get I Need To Connect To Phone Line Etc... Anybody Else Order Sports Package Without Phone Line???

That didn't answer the posters question. it was more about ordering without a phone line. I have this question as well because I ordered Sunday ticket but am not anywhere near a phone line.

Yes, you can have MLB without a phone line. I called and complained 2 years ago and they gave me a "waiver" and that's all it took. The phone line is designed so MLB (according to D) knows where your box is. I told them at the time I'm canceling my service if they don't give me the package without a phone line, they called me back and fixed it.

I have zero friends under the age of 30 with land lands including voip lines, they are simply worthless especially here in florida, where cell plans are 60 bucks unlimited everything.

Not to be off-topic (sorry), but couldn't sat companies use some sort of cellular technology in the receivers that dial the toll-free 800 number when you order via remote? This would eliminate the need for a landline and would possibly solve a lot of headaches for many would-be sat tv subscribers. Don't know if it is able to be done, but maybe some of you guys know.

I have had NFL-ST, NBA-LP, MLB-EI for several years without a phoneline. I also have 9 DVRs (1 HR20, 2 HR10s and 6 SD DirecTiVos). I wouldn't worry about it.

i have h.s. internet service only through my cable company. your local cable company may have different rules though.

Yup, you most certainly can. But many of the cable co's will pork you for it. It costs an additional $17 here to have cable without CATV on Comcast.
