View Full Version : Any way to get the alternate NCAA game tonight?
I'm a Memphis fan stuck in Charlotte and they are showing Kansas instead of the Memphis game. Any chance there might be an alternate CBS channel that I can turn to to see the Memphis game tonight?

Depending on your availability to ATSC signals and the local CBS - My local CBS affiliate is supposed to be showing both games on digital subchannels.
Rock ! Chalk ! Jayhawk ! Go KU ! :)

cbs.sportsline has all the games for free.
yes, I've had to do the computer route last weekend.
No good options to watch the alternate game on TV unless your local CBS has the game on a digital subchannel or you have the DirecTV NCAA package. Best bet is to watch on your computer with MMOD.

You probably won't want to watch anyway, as the Texas A&M Aggies are going to kick butt!!!

Move to my area, I live in one dma and can receive ota from another dma. Of the four games tonight, I have three different games, except I do not get the Memphis game either.

Pray for a blowout in the Kansas - Southern Illinois Game; Probably have to pray for Kansas; I think CBS would milk a Saluki blowout longer then they would if the Jayhawks were running away with it.

Last year my local CBS showed different games on their analog channel than what was shown on the digital channel. According to a post in the AVS forums froma neighboring DMA's CBS affilliate (which I also can receive digitally 24/7) CBS stopped allowing their affiliates from "splitting" the games between analog and digital. Subchannels must be another thing. My local CBS has a weatherchannel on it's only subchannel and the neighboring DMA's CBS carries there sister station which is an LPTV FOX affiliate (this signal rocks during football season - I sometimes got up to 3 extra NFL games between my true locals and the distant).
ok, Kansas, a 30-0 run to open your game would be appreciated!

WRAL (my local CBS affiliate) was showing 4 games at a time on their digital station (all in SD) last weekend, which made some other AVS members scream. Should be better this weekend (starting tonight) with only 2 games on at a time - one can be HD with the other SD.

Go to a sportsbar that has the March Madness package if all else fails.

If you really are a fan you would have purchased the Mega March Madness package on DirecTV. :) Rock, Chalk Jayhawk!
