Question about backordered install?

I pulled the trigger and ordered HR20. I was given a install date in late April (Told me HR20 was Back ordered). But when I logged in to Directv today and checked install info. I could move the install up to next week. I called D* back and was told the soonest I could do it was end of April. I said ok and just hung up. I did not talk about online with them.

Would it be worth it to try to reshedule online or just leave it alone and wait.

Many people have discussed moving their installs up. You may get a call that they don't have the equipment however. I can't imagine that the HR20 is back-ordered anymore since I can walk in to a big box store (Best Buy or Circuit City) and buy one off the shelf.

Go ahead and change it. Depending on the location in the country there are areas that have bockorder situations. Worst case is that the installer calls you and says he doesnt have equipment. But I was given a date 6 weeks out, went online and got one for 4 days out. they showed up when they were supposed to, did what they were supposed to and everything has been great since. Good Luck.
