Since Sunday night (3/18/07) I have lost my local mpeg-4 hd channels- 3 of the last 4 days. I get a blank screen with a searching for satellite error 771 or get a picture that keeps breaking up bad and is unwatchable.

I would say this happens about 35-40 percent of the time. D* technical support had an installer come out and check all connections (They were ok) and allignment
(Also ok). The installer told me that there seams to be alot of problems with the hd locals in our market (Grand Rapids, MI)

When it come in, it is fantastic (No complaints about HD-lite here) but I can not set up any series recordings via mpg-4 or risk missing my programs.

Friday was the first day I used the hd locals via satelite before then I got them thru an older OTA antenna which I removed because it was old and looked bad.

Had the hr-20 since January and with every CE release I am more happier with it.

Any help with the HD locals problem would be appreiated
thanks

You may want to post this over at

However, I have not seen the issue you describe. What is your signal level on Sat 99, TP 6? This is where the GR MPEG-4 locals are currently. You should have a number that's in the 90's. Are you going through any multi-switch? What type of cable are you using?

There is nothing wrong with our MPEG4 locals (other then your typical WWMT issues). As suggested make sure that Transponder 6 on the 99 sat is 90+

I've had no issues other then during the storms last night. The storms must have been real bad over the towers because even OTA was breaking up on Fox during them.
