Hallmark Earns Ratings Milestone

Hallmark Channel U.S. reached its six highest ranked telecasts with its delivery of Alex Haley's six-part "Roots" miniseries, which showed during the week of Jan. 20 - 25. The show averaged a 1.7 HH rating (Sunday-Friday, 9:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m.) and earned record ratings for the network every evening it aired.

It is absolutely amazing how much drawing power this TV mini-series still has. I remember when it first aired. If all the other networks (all three of them including PBS) would have shut down for the week, I don't think anyone would have noticed! :)

I am so angry at myself for not setting the PVR to record this. I haven't seen this show in over 15 years.
