This ESPN problem has been going on for at least a year. Search dbsforums for long, long history on this topic.

If Disney buys DirecTV - sell your receivers fast - their definition of good PQ and yours are probably much different

This is the frist time i have seen it so bad on my small screen and i watch Espn a lot, so was asking if it was worse then normal last night??!

Maybe they are going to charge major $$ for ESPN-HD... Maybe this is the start of a campain to make regular ESPN look so bad that you will pay anything to get ESPN-HD!

This may be true for ESPN, but apparently you don't watch ABC HD OTA w/ DD 5.1 surround sound, it is absolutely awesome. AND.....drumroll....ESPN is going HD next year.

Apparently you don't live near Cleveland or Detroit or try to watch via Star Choice (Detroit HD feed) - Maybe ABC should send some engineers to some of their local stations to train them in HD equipment operation and let them know what equipment is needed for DD 5.1 and sparkle free HD OTA.
