If I sign up as a new D* customer for:

HR20
H20 (since I can't get two HR20's)
2 standard receivers
and an existing receiver I already own in my RV
(5 total on my account)

Can I get them to include a 3 LNB dish to carry in the RV, as well as the 5 LNB installed at the house? They don't have to install it (I want to carry it for when my roof mounted one is blocked by trees). I have two receivers in the RV (one an older HD, and one an older Sony standard), but I'm thinking of using one of the new standards as a "floater" between the house and the RV instead of the Sony.

Will they replace cable runs in my house which are not RG6 (old installation for D* by previous owner 11 years ago)? I have been using it for E* service for nearll 11 years. I think they are going to have to run new cables anyway (for the second drop at the HD receivers), aren't they?

They probably won't provide two dishes, but you can ask the installer about picking a 3-LNB up cheap. I've got two in my garage, but it would cost more to ship them to you than you should pay for one locally.

They should run new coax for your house.

In the RV, you may need to run new wire also. Most RV's have a single coax feed that goes through a splitter to whatever locations it has for TV's, and that won't work with DirecTV.

Thanks. I figured I could pick up a dish if they won't give me one.

Was hoping I could get the coax upgraded.

Shouldn't need to mess with the wiring in the RV. It is already set up for two separate boxes from the roof mounted dish. Difficulty will be if I need to use a portable. May have to forego one box then (or string two coax through the window temporarily). Additional problem will come when they start to move HD channels to mpeg4 sats. I can only receive 101/110/119 with the mounted dish (and only 101/119 at the same time).
