Vs. in HD???

With the new sats, will we be getting Vs. in HD? I know we get it occasionally on 95, but it seems that every time (OK every time but one) that the Islanders have a game on Vs. like tomorrow night, the game is not carried on 95 in HD. I would love to have Vs. in HD full time. In fact, as much as I would like to see things like Sci-Fi, USA, and BBCA in HD, Vs. is request number 1, and it already exists in HD, has been for more than a year.

I'm pretty sure it will be available once the new sats go up especially considering they are already making efforts to carry it part time.

If it is to become 24/7... probably won't be until the SAT bandwith is avialable, and they work out any agreements that will allow it to be 24/7

I've been fortunate - aside from 1 blackout snafu a few weeks ago, each time the Sharks have been HD on VS, it's gotten picked up on 95... So I can't say I feel your pain, but I am a hockey junkie, so I watch just about any game in HD I can find.... I wouldn't mind at all hacing VS in HD full time to watch all the national games.... even if it means watching an Islanders game ones in a while.. ;)

Actually, I'll watch just about any hockey - doesn't matter who - especially if its in HD! If NHL-CI was HD, I'd be all over it - there are some phenomenal young players in the league I'd love to watch - Sid, Ovechkin, Malkin, Jordan Staal...

My only hope with VS is that they get some better announcers... I don't know most of tem, but there's one guy who every time there's a collision in the corner, he says "so and so cancells out such and such".... what the heck is cancelling out? It's just a pet peeve, I guess, but that guy bugs me.

At least the cmaera guys have gotten better. Early in the year there'd be moments where we're staring at a spot of open ice with no players or pucks in the frame, listening to the announcers talk about the action. Granted it was only a second or two, but it happened several times during a game and was thoroughly annoying! Last time I watched VS, that was 100 times better. If it happened, it was only like once and for a very quick blip...

In fact, as much as I would like to see things like Sci-Fi, USA, and BBCA in HD, Vs. is request number 1, and it already exists in HD, has been for more than a year.Golf/Versus HD went live on January 17th, 2007 (68 days ago). Prior to that, OLN HD was an on demand offering as opposed to a channel.

Obviously, if Comcast offers only a half day of Versus, nobody will be able to carry it 24/7.

You're right they have nothing on ESPN, and you also left out DiPietro! His duels with Crosby and Malkin have been epic!

Now, my only complaint with the Vs. coverage (and NBC is really bad for this) is that they will follow Crosby skating to the bench for 20 seconds while the play is going on elsewhere. I know they want to get more female viewers, but a 20 second shot of Sid's a** is not what I'm paying for!

This has nothing to do with how often Vs is in HD...but...

I'd have to say when the VS games are on 95 they look better than any other HD program on any other channel. It is some of the most beautiful HD out there.

So far every game on Vs. that was in HD involving my Wings has been on 95 so I've been lucky. I see it's an NBA double header tomorrow. Last year the same thing happened where on many nights the NBA got the 95 love near the end of the season. :(
