Pay Per View Coupons

So I got a bunch of pay-per-view coupons from DirecTV in appreciation for participating in the "HD DVR Priority Registration." I have no idea what that is, but my guess is this is their face-saving way of saying "thanks for being a patient Beta tester" without formally admitting it.

That's fine, I'm not complaining, I'll take it.

They sent me 12 coupons, saying I could use 2 a month. But the certificates say they expire at the end of June -- in three months -- and I just got them today. So the math doesn't work by half. The coupons say I can use not more than 12 a month, BTW...

So what's up? Did they send me twice as many as I am allowed to use as a tease, or is there letter wrong about using only two a month? Or is the expiration date not enforced?

Same here. Received mine last Saturday. I really didn't expect to get any since I bought my HR20 from Best Buy then got reimbursed from Direct TV, so I can't complain.

People who ordered their HR20 through D*, or were put on their waiting list for it - even if they purchased it elsewhere, and have their receiver installed and activated, will be receiving their 12 free PPV Coupons in late March / early April 2007.

Probably just pulled a bunch of coupons from their stock and didn't pay any attention to expiration dates.

How far back are they going? I purchased my HR20 last September.

Technically the waiting list started November 7, but there were lots of people who were rescheduled due to lack of equipment and had to wait. :/ So, free movies for you anyway :)

So to my original question, how does it work? Do I ignore the expiration date on the coupons (and will the D* people at the other end as well), do I ignore the 2 per month quota limitation or do I only get to use 6 of them instead of the 12 I was sent?

Good thing I used the search function, I almost started a new thread on this....

Has anyone had any problems with these coupons? I just got them today. I just want to make sure if I send them in....they will actually be deducted from my account

Not sure I trust D* that much
