As I install my R10 and get everything working, where hopefully it can then be left for a long time, I'm try to cover all bases at once.

A number of members have recommended keeping DVR's on UPS's. However, I can't find any details of what type of UPS should be used.

The battery back-up times listed on the specs of many cheap UPS's at Staples and Microcenter seem a little misleading to me. Using one that has an auto-shutdown feature for a PC seems nice, but I'm sure there is no way to prompt the Tivo to shut down properly in the face of an extended blackout.

Can any members recommend a UPS they use for their DVR?

Thanks

I've had good luck with APC UPS. I use a Backup 620 (I always go a little overkill). Buy.com has them for pretty cheap (compared to replacing your Tivo) here is a link: http://www.buy.com/prod/apc-back-ups-cs-350va-ups-350-va-external-ups-battery-lead-acid-6/q/loc/101/10297886.html Don't go another day without a UPS. Good luck :)
