My HOA allows only one dish.
My dish technician installed two dishes. One is the superdish (which I purchased) that provides 121 programming and then the dish 500+ for 110 and 119.

The reason we did the superdish is because I do not have a clear line of sight for 61.5.

I am not getting a good response from him to redo the install using the superdish.
I know the reciever is compatible with SuperDISH
The question is. Will this work?
IF I connect the wires to the remaining two LNB's of the superdish, Use the DP34 switch to combine the three signals and run it to the reciever?
Do you think the DISH will automatically work for 110 and 119 since it is already positioned for 121.

The reason I am asking this is because I could do without calling the technician and save some money since I already spent so much.

Any help would be highly appreciated!!

Thanks,

The SuperDish 121 does see all three birds (110, 119 and 121). Not sure why he installed two dishes. You should be able to combine the three orbital locations using the DP34 switch. The SuperDish is usually peaked for the 110 bird, so you may have to re-aim the dish to peak for the 110.

oh great!
Do I need to point it again using the instrument for detection?
I do not have the instrument. i am just hoping if i connect the wires everything will work.

More than likely you will be ok. I always peak on the 121 because it's a weaker signal.

Thanks,

You shouldn't have a problem doing that. Generally, the 121 has the lowest signal of the three satellites. So if you have an adequate signal and picture inside, then 110 and 119 should be as good or significantly better. Superdishes are generally peaked using 110 and 119 anyway. So install new feeds from your Superdish 110 and 119 to a DP34 and run the check switch option on each rcvr inside. The new DP34 with all three satellites should show up in the summary. :icon_cool
