For the past few days I have been trying to search by title. In particular, The Sopranos. I find lots of hits on HBO and A&E. When I click on one(any one, I tried several titles & channels) it starts its search. It continues searching for several minuets and then returns to live tv. It just exits completely. I timed it once and it was about 135 sec before it exited.
I tried this on several other titles and have the same problem. Search by title worked prior to the last software push. I'm going to try other types of searches & check the timing again to see if it is consistant....at least as soon as I am allowed to.
Anyone else have this problem? Try searching for Sopranos and see what happens.

I am going to take a wild guess, you may be experiencing what we call key bounce. When you hit select, the machine remembers 2 times on the remote, and when the search is done, the next default is cancel, and it cancels it. It is a known issue. If you are using IR then try RF and vice versa.

I thought about that. I did have key bounce problems with the RC34 in RF mode. It happened so frequently that it was very annoying. However, it went away when I put it in IR mode. Also, I've been using the MX-700 for about 2 weeks and haven't had a single problem that resembled key bounce. I think that if it was key bounce, it would also be a problem in other areas and not just title search.

Well I gave it a shot. I tried the Soprano search several times with no troubles. I am running X141 though. Can't speak for x13e. Sometimes thes HR's need to know who is boss. Unplug it for 15min and see how that helps.

Well that worked. It searches just fine now. I feel kind of dumb...should have tried that first. Wonder what caused it to lock?
Thanks for the help

My search features has not been working for awhile now.
I search by Title and it takes 10-15 minutes to find the titles
