Is my Tivo done?

Last night I went to set up my Tivo to backup record something and it was locked up. When I rebooted it would lockup on the first menu page. I left it unplugged all night, and when I plugged it in today it when through all the start up stuff and as soon as the first menu came up it locked up again. :confused: Is it getting back at me for replacing it with an HR20???

Hard drives die eventually and that's probably what's happening to you. The question is if you want to invest the time and cash it takes to revive it.

If you've reset your TiVo and it is still siting on the "Welcome, Powering Up..." screen...

It gets pass the "Welcome, Powering Up..." screen. It locked up on the first menu with records, setting, standby.....

Looks like it was a Sat. issue. Its working now...but I think HR20 hard drive died...not my week for d*
