View Full Version : Tivo HD DVR problem..

I'm having this problem more often now. When I switch channel to my HD channels the screen is black, I will get a message saying searching for signal or it would tell me to call DirecTV to subscribe. "I'm a subscriber already". So every time this happen I have to restart the DVR. Its really a pain, I end up missing the programs that I have it record on my HD channels.

What should I do now, I called Directtv eveytime this happens..

I would call them and say your HR10-250 is going bad and you would like to replace it. If you are lucky you will get an HR20. :D

I called Directtv, the guy I talked to really needed a kick in the ******.. I did what the tech person told me to do last time and he was like dont do that.

Check your cables to make sure you're getting a good signal. If the cable or connectors are bad then this could be causing your problems. Try swapping out cables with ones you know are good. Check the signal strength on all transponders to make sure you have a good signal. Aside from the few transponders that will show 0 signal level, all available transponders should indicate 70 or above for good reception.
