Anybody want to know?

I got the list today.

These are early and still subject to some change. Des Moine, Flint MI, Ft Myers, Little Rock, Norfolk, Mobile, Oklahoma City, Santa Barbara, Springfield MI, Toledo. I was told that the dates of launch should be projected shortly. When I get them I will post.

Hopefully they won't have to wait until late 2007 like you say in your post, otherwise those folks won't be happy.

Are these still the markets that D* announced in October and then never delivered?

I hope D* adds my locals soon cause they are really falling behind in my market (DMA 42) see chart and other attachments below. Now even FiOS has most of the HD LOCALS.

our cable company just added NBC, FOX (LIN) and ABC (BELO) in the beginning of MARCH (http://cox.com/hr/inside/press_releases/PR2007-0307.asp) and today FIOS added the LIN stations, see image below.

thanks ScoBuck for the information.

Question: Right now we've got:

Oval, 3 LNB Dish
OTA Antenna for HD Locals
42" Samsung Plasma
HR20
HD Programming

Will we need to contact Direct TV, and have them install a 5 LNB Dish or Slimline AT9 dish to recieve the Flint, MI locals in HD?

Also, will there be a cost for this?

* Thanks in advance! :)

Call them and ask, depending on how they view you as a customer it might be free.

Should be free, he has an HR20. When I bought my HR20 they told me the dish would be free just call when I'm ready to order one for my roof. My locals aren't here yet so I saw no need yet.

Still no Louisville. Unbelievable, #48 on the DMA list and aren't in the next 10.

I am getting ABC, CBS, and FOX here in Santa Barbara, CA (no NBC). I have waivers for all 4 networks out of LA, so the question is, should I switch over my network recording from MPEG2 to MPEG4? The good part is that I will have more space for recordings, but are MPEG4 recordings any less reliable...I have heard about problems with FF and other things, are those in the past?

How about Colorado Springs

How about Colorado Springs

The Springs is gonna be one of the last on the list. Called D* a month ago and the Springs wasn't even on the radar. Its a shame seeing as D* has a corporate office a couple miles up the road in Denver.

The launch date for Ft. Myers, Florida will be May23rd. That is the only one from my list in the OP (of course except Oklahoma City and Santa Barbara) that now has a set date. But, they are working on launching those, and the dates will become available shortly.

any new information on NORFOLK, VA DMA 42.??

Read my post it has the answer really. But I think I can safely say (most likely only) before end of June - and that's for all of the listed markets.

Might want to get a jump and start emailing DirecTV as well as your NBC and FOX affiliates, looks like they are LIN owned...
