Question about Home Shopping Networks...

Hi, here is my question.

I understand that DBS & Cable providers pay each broadcast & cable network a fee each month (or yearly, not sure) to carry the networks programming on their systems. BUT, do the shopping networks have to pay the DBS & Cable companies each month (or yearly) to carry their programming. I'm not too clear on this. It would make sense if this was so.

Yes they rent channel space from the satelllite companies or cable companies. This is why Dish has been adding shopping channels because they are the few channels that they make money on.
