Can anybody tell me what's going on. All of a sudden today I can't get channels 72 (ESPN) or 76 (Discovery HD). It gives me a "Channel Unavailable" or "Searching". HOWEVER, I get all my other HD channels just fine.

At first I thought it was a tree that is starting to have its leaves come in and the tech who set me up said I might have trouble with this. However, would this only affect these two channels and not the others. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks so much.

Sounds like you are having a similar problem that I am having. Only your dish isn't seeing sat 119 too well.

SETUP - SAT&ANT and test Sat 119 and see what kind of reception you are getting. I bet you need to tweak your dish.

JayW,

First of all, thanks for the quick reply :)

When I checked set-up on Sat 119, this is what came up:

On transponders 17-24: n/a n/a n/a n/a n/a 0 0 0

On transponders 25-32: 51 0 31 0 0 0 0 0

Does this tell you anything? If it is a tree, I'm shocked because everything was fine just yesterday (and I can't believe the leaves grow that fast around here).

Thanks.

Those numbers don't look good.

Can you get to your dish easily?

Your signal levels on 119 are very low. Maybe the dish has moved slightly out of alignment, or maybe it's trees/leaves.

Your readings on 119 look like mine on 103 and 99. I am having reception problems as well. I would say your dish needs to be re-aligned - I called D* to have this done because of my irrational fear of 2nd story roofs. :) (and the fact it was a shoddy install in the first place) If you don't share that fear, I would recommend you aim the dish yourself as long as you find a good guide for doing so.

Thanks for all the replies so far. It's just weird how it could go from working perfectly last night to nothing now (and again, only on channels 72 and 76, other HD channels are fine). I do have a tech coming out this Wednesday so I'll hold off on trying to reaim the dish until than.

My receiver is the h20 so I'll try to reboot as well.

Thanks.

I've been having trouble with my H20 in the living room since last night losing all the channels from 70-76. I have reset via the D* website, only to have them disappear again. I've done this at least 4 times. They seem fine now after the last one.

The H20 and HR20 in the basement rec room have not had this problem at all, so I know it was not dish alignment.

Some of the HiDef channels are beamed from 119-deg satellite, the others from 110-deg. That's probably why some are working and some are not.
