I own a home in Tampa, FL and Windsor Locks, CT. I have a 5lnb, HD20 set up in Tampa. Is it possible for me to move the receiver location to CT my other home and keep my billing address in Tampa.

I spend most of my time in Tampa, FL but I really like what CT offers as far as the sports pak goes. Could I switch to CT and still receive programming in Tampa?

Has anyone been in a similar sitiuation?

Thanks for the help!:)

twoutrally,

Welcome to DBSTalk! :welcome_s

If what you like about the CT sports pack is local programming (most likely their RSN), unless you subscribed to the Sports Pack Premium package, chances are it is a local spot beam that you would not get in Tampa anyway.

Sorry for the confusion...

So the CT spot beam would not reach Florida and prevent me from receiving any channels at all or just the CT locals and would the Yes Network which I get in CT with the sports pack without being blacked out come in here in Florida? What sports pack channels would I receive?

Thanks

If you keep your service address in CT while in Tampa, you will not get any of your CT locals SD or HD -- the spot beams don't come close to reaching here. You will also not get any RSN in HD at this point, though that will likely change once they move to a CONUS bird. You will still see YES (and whatever other RSN's are local to you in CT) in SD. You could pickup local Tampa/St. Pete channels OTA with an antenna.

If you switch your service address to Tampa, you will get Sun Sports (Lightning, Magic) and FSN Florida (Rays) as your regional sports networks. The only way to see YES games would be via the various sports subscriptions (MLB-EI, etc.). You'll also get the local big 4 network affiliates in SD and HD. along with Sun/FSN games in HD on ch 96 (when you're in Tampa).
