You do need to use the ethernet port. Either wired or with a wireless game adapter.

ok, so a wireless game adapter will work. good, but is that the best (fastest connection) way to hook up? id hate to get wireless game adapter and find out i need to upgrade because the download time will be slow when the VOD begins.

If you get a wireless G game adapter you will be fine.

No USB support for networking!
To use the network, the ethernet port is the ONLY choice. If it is a HR20-100, the only ethernet port that is enabled currently port 1.
The most reliable/easiest connection type would be a cable hard wire to your connection point.
Brand choice for the router is certainly a choice on what you prefer to get. I do recommend if you are going to go wireless, you purchase the same brand of wireless adapter as the router make.

From what we have heard testing will begin this month and probably launch in July.

VOD is only a press release announcement. So no one really knows. Those that do know probably cannot disclose that information at this time.

I don't think there is a set date. It will all depend on testing. They have started going through more extensive internal beta testing and there is hope that they will release a CE for it. Some information I have seen shows it being in select cities in June

I use the Buffalo Wireless Converter. Circuit city has them on sale for $59.95
and I think you can get it from Newegg.com for 49.95 plus shipping.
