Far cheaper than keeping it (when you're dissatisfied). Cut your losses, write them a check and bid them a fond fare-thee-well.

I had a CSR give me some crap about my calling to complain about the poor PQ of the new MPEG4 HD locals (HD-Lite). After going several rounds with him he told me I can drop the service for what at the time amounted to a $200 early termination fee. I told him he could K.M.A. because that only amounted to a mere 2 month's billing at my current subscription level. Give me the address to send the check.

After which he calmed down and explained that right now not all of the MPEG4 locals are being delivered to them directly and that ours were actually being relayed to them via lower bandwidth facilities than their new sats are capable of carrying, hence the poor PQ. He assurred me PQ would improve before the end of the year and offered 6 months of complimentary Showtime to calm my feathers.
