I had my 622 installed last week; worked fine for several days.

Yesterday, I tried to turn on for Master's. would not turn on - no LEDs at all. I rebooted, blue light came on for a few seconds, then shuts off with all lights on for about a second - then off.

BTW, My wife thinks she might have left the second TV tuner on the night before.

I called Dish tech support; they tried several things and gave me an RA and am sending me a new unit.

About an hour later, it came on and has worked fine ever since.

Any suggestions, do i cancel the order for a replacement?

Thanks,
Mike

It's too late to cancel, but if it still works great, when new one arrives, refuse the UPS shipment. I don't think Dish has to pay shipping charges when refused. I have to refuse a 921 tomorrow as well.

Problem with that is you'll probably have to be there when they deliver the package. Whenever I've received anything from Dish it's just dropped on my doorstep, no signature required, I don't have to be there.

Since it's brand new and still under warranty you shouldn't have to pay anything regardless. I'd just call Dish and explain to them what happened. It was their CSR that decided to send you a new unit and not send a tech out. I'm assuming that the replacement comes with a prepaid label to send back the 'bad' one, you can probably just return the replacement instead and call it good.

It's also possible that by refusing the new unit you could put yourself in jeopardy of being billed for the unit you didn't return. Trust me, if that happens it is a nightmare to get it straigthened out. I speak from experience.

Just take the replacement and return your current one. It's an electronic device .... you tried to turn it on and it didn't. Random glitches like that may NEVER occur again or it could be a sign of a faulty piece of equipment. Do you know which it is ?? :D

By the way, your wife leaving the 2nd tuner on is irrelevant.
