View Full Version : RF Reception
I just got an HR20-100. It came with an RC34 remote. I bought an additional RC32RF remote to control the receiver from my kitchen, which is about 40-50 feet from the receiver. I am using both remotes in RF mode. Both remotes work pretty well when used close to the receiver, but neither works well when I am not in the room with the receiver.
Do I need a bigger RF antenna on the receiver? Any other solutions?
thanks!

Is that "little" antenna straight up in the air?
Maybe you could extend it with some coax to be up higher? Just a thought..
Are you trying to go through stone walls?

Actually it is an open space from the kitchen to the living room with no walls to go through. The receiver is in a cabinet below the TV, so I had been thinking of some way to elevate the antenna so that there would be less blocking it.

Well it does sound like a bit of coax, so the antenna could be mounted up high, should work for you. :)
