I live in the Knoxville tn. area. For the past two years i've been getting my locals from Nashville through dish, today they turned them off. When i called to ask why, they said I could no longer receive them.
Directv offers locals from Knoxville in my area, should i switch now or wait to make sure the FCC stops the merger.
IF dish indeed gets NFL Sunday ticket do you think direct & dish will both offer it.

You are probably a victim of the DMA realignment just done by the nielson group, your county probalby changed DMAs.

I don't live anywhere close to Nashville
dish said if i sub. to the SS package they would give them to me
so I don't think the DMA'S had any thing to do with it
I live in Knoxville also - you should be able to get Knoxville carried affiliates with an antenna as I do. I would not want Nashville stations anyway unless you like the central timezone schedule. I can;t believe you were getting them for as long as you did. If DTV carries Knoxville then go ahead and jump to them - especially if for some reason you cannot get locals over the air. More reliable equipment on the DTV side too.
I think the merger will not be approved - as indicated on the FCC site.
good luck
Rich
