Looking great. Boy am I glad they have Kenny Lofton instead of Marvin Benard and Benito Santiago instead of Bobby Estalella. :D

And my Angels won also. Its a good day for the left coast...

One of my friends at work is a Giants and Angels fan too. She's pretty happy right now. Angels won, so that is all that counts anyway. Any of you see the fights on the news from the fans at the "BIG A" lining up for WS tickets today? Just some minor incidents from the Halo fans!

Kenny Lofton is such a drama queen. Anybody see Kenny freak out when the St. Louis pitcher threw a ball that went like 2 feet from his head, didn't look like a purpose pitch to me.

Lofton was just being an idiot, acting all tough because his team had a big lead. Santiago also overreacted (though not nearly as much Lofton did) after a pitch was thrown up and in on him (in reality, it wasn't even that far off the plate).

When Bonds later got brushed back, he didn't react at all. When Pujols later got brushed back, he didn't react at all. Those guys *do* understand that it's part of the game (many of today's players *don't*, apparently).

That surprises me John. I would have assumed you'd understand how vaulable he was in that situation... Kenny's a jerk that you love to have on your team. I hated his guts when he was on the Indians, but now he's my favorite leadoff hitter.

BTW, of course it was a purpose pitch. You just happen to throw at the head of the guy who is killing you and it "gets away". The problem with pitchers today is they don't hit anyone. I'd like to see them hit Kenny rather than just throw near him. What would Don Drysdale thing? :nono:

When Drysdale was doing telecasts for the Dodgers, he would always talk about "making the hitter honest". Drysdale would have no problem plunking someone who crowed the plate. If it was a Giant, he'd do it just out of principle. Damn NoCal, water hogging, battery chuckers! :p

Thats what I'm saying. Don't buzz the batter, hit him!

Bob Gibson was famous for that as well.
