Hi my showcases is always blank on my HR-20. Do I have to have the phoneline hooked up to get this info downloaded?

The Showcases feature is not yet active. By the looks of the new CE software out, it will be shortly.

What exactly will Showcase be used for, or how will it be used when activated.

Press LIST > Green Button and there are your Showcases.

If its like whats on my tivo, not much to get excited about, mostly ADS for cars ,credit cards, and pay per view previews of movies.once in a while they'll have a preview of a movie thats coming out in theaters. also previews of movies and "specials" showing exclusivley on directv.

Recent Showcases have included promotional videos/advertising for Nascar Racing coverage.
