since the merger is probably dead &it looks like the only way to get my locals from Knoxville is directv i have already been in contact my the sat. shop they are running a two room setup for $99.00 the main rec. is a samsung is this a good deal or not

Probably depends which Samsung receivers they are offering.

Check americansatellite.com. I believe you can get a two room setup there with the S70 boxes for $50; if you get the S75's it's $180. I think orbitsat.com has similar offerings.

By the way, can anyone list the differences between the Samsung s70 and s75? The 75 has component outputs and 5.1 sound: is everything else the same? What about speed of operation - same also?

The one thing that stands out to me that is missing is NO WINK on any of their receivers. (which means NO instant weather on TWC, among other WINK services) :( :( :(
