Hello, All. Just discovered this Forum, and already have found some great information.
I've had my HR20 (0x145) for about a week. So far, so good. The worst problem so far (knocking on wood) is that the caller ID quit working shortly after we got it. No display, no recorded calls. Oh, well. Sounds like a pretty common problem.
Looking forward to learning more from you guys.

Welcome Aboard.
Check your dish and coax grounding. One person has found that made a difference on his caller ID.
And welcome. Tons of good info here.

As far as Caller ID goes, I'm the one who just got it to work by putting a ground on my Coax and Dish .. The details can be found in this thread (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=84943).

Been lurking here for a few months, and finally decided to pull the trigger today. Scheduled to install on Friday (4/13).
Looking forward to my install....maybe I'll get lucky and get a HR20-100b!:)

Don't you think the HR-20 has had enough issues without scheduling the install for Friday the 13th?

Welcome and enjoy! CID works fine here, but there are quite a few people who have had issues with it. It does seem that D* is working on it, so sooner or later it should work for ya.
