I currently have 3 receivers hooked up to a SW64 switch. If I change one of them to a 721, what will I need to do for the second tuner? Can I just run another cable from an output on the SW64 switch directly to the second tuner on the 721?

Thanks,
Brian

You got it - the 721 will need two (2) cables from your SW64 and you should be fine.

Actually, I just checked and I have an SW44 switch. It has 4 output jacks. The first one says "To Power Inverter", and the other three say "To Satellite Receiver". I am only using two of the jacks that go to the satellite receiver. Can I just hook up a cable to the unused satellite receiver jack and plug it into the 721?

Thanks,
Brian

Hello DBSTalk folks :)

I've found some references to parallel confiurations with SW64/44's to allow up to the dish maximum of 6 receivers. There are some references to "load" and special splitters, but no details.

Anyone doing this? Know any more about it?

2 sw44s or 64s with slitters and load equalizers. Its a expensive work around. Your better off to upgrade to dishpro just one lead from each slot to a less expensive 3 to 4 switch.

You least expensive fix is putting up a second 500 dish. Just for the 721

Or buy a 721 WITH the dish.
