Has anyone had the problem with the Tivo HD DVR when you try to watch one of the HD channels and it would say not avail in your area, call Directtv to order that hd channel when you already did?

I called Directtv more than 10 times on this problem I would be told to just restart the DVR, will fix it for a few a while, untill the problem comes come back..

Can you provide more details ....

* what channel(s) give you this message?
* what exactly does the message say? Does it have an extension, like 721 or 771?

I have the Tivo HD DVR. For some ***** reson at times I will get a message like, the hd program is not avail in my area, need to subscribe to this channel, (HD channels) searching signal for channel. When I first got the Directtv it worked. Directtv tech came today, could not get on the roof because the ladder was not big enough. She called another tech person and he told her the dish or recever are not the right one to work together.

Let's try again ....

* Exactly which channel(s) give you this message?

When I got Directtv installed, the guy put the wrong dish.. The dish and the tivo hd dvr box dont work well together. Installer came yesterday, she could not fix the problem because her ladder was not big enought to get on the room. So she called another service person.

So called them, was told another installer is coming out next week..

Just got off the phone, told them everything, going to get a new dish and :nono: I'm going to have to say bye Tivo...

This explanation does not make sense for the symptoms you previously described. If you decide to answer my clarification questions (above), then perhaps we can help you truly solve this problem.
